Alliant Insurance Services has expanded its presence in Mississippi with the appointment of Burney Hutchinson as vice president within its Alliant Americas division.

In his new role, Hutchinson will design and implement property and casualty programs for his client base. He is based in Jackson, Miss.

“Burney has extensive experience creating tailored solutions that deliver results, reduce costs and provide long-term protection for his clients,” said Bob Bennetsen, executive vice president and senior managing director at Alliant. “His deep understanding of the needs of businesses throughout the region further strengthens our team and enhances the exceptional service we offer clients.”

Hutchinson has a broad background in P&C insurance, including expertise in large accounts. Prior to joining Alliant, Hutchinson served as a consultant with a large, regional insurance brokerage in the Southeast.

Hutchinson is the latest in a string of additions to Alliant’s talent roster. Last month, the company announced the appointment of Dan Berry as venture capital leader and executive vice president for Alliant M&A. In November, the firm announced the appointment of Martin Khalaf as a senior vice president and Greg Sanford as a vice president, both in the Alliant Americas division.
