You know we stay laser-focused on deals every day of the week, even when the general population doesn’t have to show up for work. That’s because we took the Oath of Office to make sure that PCMag readers are guaranteed the lowest prices on all the tech they desire. Case in point: this Presidents’ Day, we celebrated by rounding up five incredible laptop deals and presenting them to you.

Apple shifted to self-made silicon with the 2020 MacBook Air and it resulted in a laptop that set new standards for performance. Although a newer model is on the market, we still ride for the M1 MacBook Air, and in our review said that “whether you’re an Apple fan in need of an upgrade, a longtime Windows user interested in jumping camps, or a platform-agnostic shopper seeking the best deal on an ultraportable laptop, the MacBook Air represents the cream of the crop.” At $250 off, it’s even more appealing. This configuration comes with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.

Display technology for laptops is making big leaps, and the OLED screen on this budget-priced model is astonishing for the price. The Asus ZenBook 14X won an Editors’ Choice award from us, and in our review we said that it is an “attractive and appealing combination of portability, design, and configuration options.” This spec is on the lower end, with a 13th Generation Intel Core I5-13500H processor, 8GB of memory and a 512GB SSD, but it still performs ably and at $300 off can’t be beat.

Even at at $978 off, this will still put a bruise on your wallet. The good news is that the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i occupies the highest echelon of gaming laptops, delivering desktop-quality performance in a sleek housing. In our review, we gushed over the 7i’s “massive gains in gaming performance, more muscle for everyday tasks, and even improved battery life” while comparing it favorably to other models in the price range. This configuration comes with a 13th Generation Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, a GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU, 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD.

This is a really impressive price drop on a laptop that already offered solid specs, so jump on it before the day is over to snag $350 off. The Inspiron 16 is a sturdy casing wrapped around decent hardware, including an 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1335U processor, an Intel Iris Xe GPU, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. It’s definitely not a laptop that will make the neighbors jealous, but for handling productivity, content creation and even light gaming it will do the job ably. Battery life is also solid, meaning it’s great for traveling.

We’ll close out with an absolute monster of a portable that’ll dazzle you in every way. The Alienware m18 is a gaming laptop that embraces the brand’s aesthetic, with customizable LED lighting and a metal lid enclosing a top-notch screen and performance-oriented components like a 13th gen Intel Core i9 processor, a RTX 4090 GPU, 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. In our review, we said that it was “the best giant-screen gaming laptop so far” and we stand by that assessment.
